Does the FDA require clinical studies for supplements?

Although the FDA does not require clinical studies for dietary supplements, Nutrafol prioritizes and invests in clinical studies so that we can put our products to the test in real people. All clinical studies on Nutrafol products are conducted by independent clinical research centers, approved by an institutional review board, and in compliance with Good Clinical Practice. Furthermore, disclosures for all authors are always clearly stated in all publications, ensuring full transparency and ethical responsibility. Our studies are statistically powered to have a sufficient number of subjects to be able to detect a significant difference based on the preset endpoints used by researchers and dermatologists. Moreover, we have multiple clinical studies published on our Women’s Hair Growth Supplement, as well as completed, published, and/or ongoing studies on all of our other Hair Growth Nutraceuticals.
